LIG organized its very 1st LOM Bonding Camp on 15 to 16 June 2006, which is during the first week of our term break. A total of 41 LOM students attended.
The camp was officially opened by Mr Jimmy Yeo. You may think that he would have said a short speech, but Hey! He actually kicked a soccer ball into the goal post, to signify the 'kick-off' of this 1st LOM Camp!
The first segment was free & easy PE lesson. Haha... Exercise first! Under the baking hot sun, many of the students enjoyed playing soccer, captain's ball, basketball and even volleyball! Do check out the pictures of LOM's Year 3 Soccer Team!
Next, it was LOM's Talentime 2006! you may think that it's similar to some singing or dancing competition. But it's a different concept! The year 2 & 3 students were in different groups and they had brainstorm an amusing and unique story. Then, they had to act it out to impress our guest judges, Mr Lim and Ms Oh. It was through this segment that we realized LOM student are indeed very gifted in their acting!
We were greatly entertained by skits presented like "Little Red Riding Hood meets Cookie Monster & Cinderella!", "Mr Bean went to an American Idol Audition" and a "Lecture Theatre version of Jack & the bean sprout story". Ultimately, the Winner was Group 2! They incorporated Mr Bean, and a Singapore Idol participant who sang 'Nong Nong Ago'! Haha...
Finally, the climax of the Camp! What's a camp if there are no night activities, right? It was the Part 2 version of the cluedo game, in LOM Day 2005. The cast acted out the first version 'live' in LT 21. Then, the groups were out to roam Level 3 to Level 5 of the Business School to look out for mobile clues, so as to find out the exact story and the murderer. Indeed, the experience to play this game at night was very different as compared to the day version last year.
After 2 hours of intensive investigation and problem solving, each groups submitted their individual analysis of their interpretation of the story and who was the murderer. It was already 12 midnight by then. All groups' answers were very close to each other, and it wasn't easy to determine the winner. At the end, the winning group was Group 3!
Next, it was sleeping time... Many students experienced quite an uncomfortable sleep in the class rooms on level 4. The floor was super hard or it was too humid. However, at around 4.30am, when the air condition was back again, it was from hot to extreme cold room temperature. Haha... Afterall, it was many students' first overnight sleep in class or in lecture theatre. So, it's a memorable experience!
The Next day before closing the camp, the students were shortly entertained by a photo galore of themselves in the camp activities yesterday. At 10am, the camp was officially closed and students went back to sleep zZz...
Indeed, it was a very meaningful and fun camp to be remembered by those who attended.

Meanwhile, stay tune to more details for LOM Day 2006!
Hmm... Yummy... Wouldn't you just wish to try one of these tasty 'jelly hearts'? In conjunction with CCN Day 2006, LIG did a mobile sale of this unique dessert, known as 'Jelly Hearts'. We sold 3 pieces at $3.50 each. Though it sounds expensive, but it's worthwhile after you tried a piece. There are 3 layers in a 'jelly heart'. First, the base is a tasty and crispy layer of grounded digestive biscuits. Next, it is a thick layer of succulent cheese and finally, is a layer of natural strawberry jelly with a cute mini heart-shaped strawberry in it. If you eat it at a go, these 3 layers of different ingredients will definitely satisfy your taste buds! Although CCN Day is over, do try it out in bakeries or cafe if you see them!

Vibrant Life in Temasek Business School, the first and biggest business school event that attracted many students from all over TP to visit the fair. It was organized by Business Studies Club (BSC) and it involves all interest groups in Business School to set up individual stalls, where the event concept is similar to CCN day.
"Shampoo! Shampoo!" That was what LIG was shouting to attract the crowd to buy shampoos from our stall! Be it 'Pantene', 'Herbal Essences', 'Rejoice' or 'Head & Shoulders', we were selling it way below market price! Nt just hair shampoo, there were also conditioners and protable mini sized shampoos... Sales were not too bad after all. Anyway, at the end of the 2 days fair, it was indeed a unique & fun experience for LIG to participate in selling shampoos. Haha... ...
